January School Holidays
Since 1967, SCOUTS New Zealand's Walsh Memorial Scout Flying School has provided the highest quality aviation training in the country for budding young pilots aged 16-19.
In 2012, 70 students attended the very popular two-week long training camp at Matamata. The Walsh has many past students with successful careers in aviation. In 2008 we were pleased to welcome Pilot Officer Mary Woolston of 3 Squadron RNZAF, a past Walsh student, to present our young pilots with their Wings.
Students must be New Zealand citizens and only have minimal previous flight experience.
Cost: for the 2013 school will be set during May. For the 2012 school the cost was $1495 for first year Venturer and Ranger students or $445 for returning students
Next School: Tuesday 8 - Tuesday 22 January 2013
