SCOUTS, VENTURERS AND ROVERS

Scouts

Sandford Course – attended by Scout Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders learning team leadership / team membership skills including planning and communication.

Cossgrove Course – attended by Scouts learning practical outdoor skills through hands-on participation.

Courses are organised in Zones but allow neighbouring Zone’s Scouts to attend. Dates and venues advertised via the Regional Service Centre.

Venturers

Velocity Course – is a requirement for the Bronze Venturer award scheme. Generally it occurs within 12 months of joining and is designed to arm Venturers with the skills, knowledge and awareness to actively participate and achieve within this section.

Cooksey Course – is a requirement of the Silver Venturer award scheme. It generally occurs within 24 months of joining and is design to provide Venturers with leadership, motivation, effective communication and problem solving skills.

Courses are organised in Zones but encourage neighbouring Zone’s Venturers to attend. Dates and venues advertised via the Regional Service Centre.

Rovers

Rover Leadership Course – is designed to cover all aspects of leading peer adults; from communication to meeting procedures to service and personal development. Courses are generally organised in Regions.
