January 2014 School Holidays

After the initial training in Taumarunui you set off for five days of canoeing and adventure as we canoe down the Whanganui River to Pipiriki. No previous canoeing experience required, as full training is given. You do need to be a confidant swimmer and be 14+ years as at the start date.

This is Scouting at it’s best. If you are after a challenge then this is an amazing experience not to be missed. Just talk to the guys that have been on previous Canoe Schools.

There is a natural waterslide into the river, getting up close and personal with some native bats, visiting the Bridge to Nowhere and various other places of interest.

Be in early, this school fills well before the closing date of 30 November 2013.

Cost: $450 (indicative only). This includes canoes, life jackets, paddles & food.
