The Medal of Merit is awarded by the Zone Leader to uniformed and non uniformed adults who have made an outstanding contribution to Scouting. This contribution may be over a period of time or recognise a particular achievement or noteworthy project.
It is expected that to qualify for this award individuals will show high levels of capability and have appropriate skills for the roles they have undertaken.
An indicative length of service for the Medal of Merit is ten years.
