Ventures see Venturers from across New Zealand, and some from overseas, join together to participate in a series of adventurous activities. 

Ventures are designed to challenge you both physically and emotionally, allowing you to develop new skills and to build new levels of self confidence.  But most of all they're a whole lot of fun!

APPLICANTS FROM NEW ZEALAND:

Before beginning your online registration to attend this Event you will need to have ready:

  • Your Personal Membership Number (i.e. be a registered member of SCOUTS New Zealand) - if you do not have a Personal Membership Number please ask your local Leader to get one. If you have forgotten what your Personal Membership Number is please call 0800 SCOUTS or email membership@scouts.org.nz with your full name, Group or Unit name, address and a contact phone number.
     
  • Have decided on your expedition preferences from the Expeditions tab
     
  • A passport style photo of yourself to upload - this will be used for identification purposes during the Event and must be no larger than 1mb in size.
     
  • Your deposit - in order to change your registration status from 'pending' to 'confirmed' we require that all applicants pay a non-refundable deposit of $150 (NZD) within 10 working days of completing their registration. Payment instructions are included in the checkout stage.
     
  • Authorisation from your Unit Executive to attend. If you are under 16 years of age you must complete your online registration with a parent or caregiver and provide their contact details so the Event Organisers may verify their approval for you to attend.

The registration fee is the base fee for the Venture. Fees for Phase one expeditions are charged separately based on the expedition you choose and can be assigned to.

There may also be charges for a few phase two activities and these will be advised at a later date.
