Walsh Memorial Scout Flying School
Since 1967, SCOUTS New Zealand's Walsh Memorial Scout Flying School has provided the highest quality aviation training in the country for budding young pilots aged 16-19.
In 2016, 73 students attended the popular two-week long training camp at Matamata. The Walsh has many past students with successful careers in aviation. In 2008 we were pleased to welcome Pilot Officer Mary Woolston of 3 Squadron RNZAF, a past Walsh student, to present our young pilots with their Wings.
Students must be New Zealand citizens and only have minimal previous flight experience (up to 2 hours).
Cost: Fees for the 2018 school are $1745 for first year Venturer and Ranger students or $490 for returning students. The fee for first year non-Venturer/non-Ranger students is $1945.
Next School: Wednesday 10th - Wednesday 24th January 2018
